Harris receives Deputy Sheriff of the Year award

FALLBROOK – Lieutenant Robert Haley, commander of the Fallbrook Sheriff’s substation presented Zach Harris as the Sheriff Department’s Deputy of the Year for North County at a recent luncheon meeting of the Rotary Club of Fallbrook. Harris was voted “best” by a vote of his peers.

Fallbrook Rotary President Connie Fish made the honoree’s plaquepresentation, assisted by Fallbrook Village Rotary President Erica Williams.

Harris’ wife, Heidi, accompanied him to the podium for the recognition and presentation.

Sheriff’s Dept. recognition is an ongoing annual program of the localRotary clubs in recognizing individual excellence in performance from those who serve the local community. Don McKinney from Representative Darrell Issa’s office presented Harris with a Congressional Certificate of Merit. Also in attendance on Harris’ behalf was Sheriff’s Sgt. P.O. Yates.
