The Fallbrook High School girls volleyball team members vote on awards to be presented at the post-season banquet, which Fallbrook varsity coach Peter Peng considers to be an occasion to honor the entire team, rather than a handful of stars. Peng thus was not disappointed when the team members’ votes created a tie which caused senior setter Talia DeFalco and freshman outside hitter Kendra Dahlke to share the varsity’s Most Valuable Player award.
“I think it’s very appropriate,” Peng said.
“Kendra opened up the offense,” Peng said. “Talia was the facilitator of that.”
