FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Girls Softball League’s 12U Fall Ball team, The Shenanigans, participated in the Temecula Valley Girls Softball Association Winter Ball Program this fall where they finished the regular season undefeated and won the end-of-season tournament. The Fallbrook team was made up of a mixture of 12U veterans and newcomers coming up from the league’s 10U division.
Due to an early loss in the double-elimination tournament and rainy weather, the girls were forced to play four games in five days just to make the finals. In the finals the Shenanigans faced off against an undefeated Temecula White team that they had to beat twice in a row to secure the championship.
Fallbrook battled hard, winning the first game 16-5 after being down 5-1 in the third inning and won the second game 11-7 to capture the first place trophy.
“I am extremely proud of these girls!” said head coach Joey Navarro. “There were plenty of games where we didn’t have a full squad due to injury or illness and they kept stepping up to the challenge.”
