Fatal Collision in Temecula Leaves One Dead, Three Hurt

TEMECULA - A two-car traffic collision in Temecula, in which alcohol may have been involved, left one person dead and three injured, the Temecula Police Department said today.

Four men were taken by ambulance to Rancho Springs Medical Center in Murrieta, where the coroner pronounced Miguel Melchor, 21, of Temecula, dead of his injuries at 11:36 p.m. Saturday, according to police Sgt. Mark Leggett.

The other three men suffered injuries that ranged from moderate to critical, Leggett said.

The crash occurred about 10:40 p.m. Saturday at Meadows Parkway and Rancho California Road, Leggett said.
