Willis Allen inaugural charity golf tournament a roaring success

FALLBROOK - The ‘We Support the Troops’ inaugural charity golf tournament, sponsored by Willis Allen Real Estate on Nov. 15, was a roaring success.

The good weather, along with tremendous support from the Fallbrook Willis Allen agents and the Golf Club of California lead to the success of this first tournament.

Ninety-six golfers, complemented by 20 sponsored military members from Camp Pendleton’s Wounded Warrior Battalion and Naval Hospital San Diego, kicked off a Shotgun Start Scramble. Post tournament trophy presentation and Happy Hour were made festive with music played by Richard Palkovic.

The charitable funds raised by player’s fees and donations from many community supporters provided much needed help for North County Warrior Support and Soldiers Who Salsa, nonprofit organizations.

“Many thanks to the community supporters and participants for a really terrific event,” said Bob Wendt, tournament coordinator. “We are looking forward to next year’s second annual event to be an even greater success.”
