Car drops into sinkhole on Stagecoach Lane

Firefighters rescued a woman in the late afternoon of Saturday, Dec. 17 after her vehicle fell into a sinkhole while she was traveling on Stage Coach Lane.

The woman, estimated to be in her 40s or 50s was driving a pickup truck in the 1000 block of N. Stage Coach Lane when her vehicle suddenly dropped into a sinkhole, trapping her inside.

Emergency workers responded to the incident shortly after 4 p.m. and discovered that the vehicle was wedged so tightly in the hole a special rescue effort would have to be used to remove the woman from the pickup.
