Fallbrook High School's girls soccer team began 2012 with a 1-0 win January 6 at Orange Glen and a scoreless tie January 10 at home against Canyon Crest.
The two matches, the final ones for Fallbrook before the start of the Avocado East League season, gave the Warriors a season record of 5-8-1.
"They're playing good as a team, and they're excited to play," said Fallbrook coach Kevin Koptieff.
The goal against Orange Glen was scored midway in the second half.
"Sydney Richelieu had a great breakaway goal," Koptieff said of the score.
