22-Year-Old Woman Dies When Off-Road Vehicle Flips Over

MENIFEE - A 22-year-old Menifee woman was killed today when she lost control of the Rhino off-road vehicle she was driving and it rolled over, according to the sheriff's department.

Along with a male passenger, Elizabeth Jonsson was driving east Garbani Road past Bradley Road in Menifee at about 3:05 a.m. when she lost control and struck a dirt embankment, said sheriff's Sgt. Dan Lingo. The vehicle rolled over and ejected the two occupants.

Jonsson was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:31 a.m., according to the coroner.
