SAN DIEGO – San Diego Gas & Electric has added a green button to its website that now allows consumers to check their energy use online and download the consumption data in one click.
The official launch of the new technology was announced Jan. 18 in tandem with PG&E in Santa Clara, Calif. and attended by U.S. Chief of Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra, who had introduced an idea last year relating to green buttons on energy company websites for use by consumers.
