SAN JACINTO - A San Jacinto man allegedly barged into girlfriend's ex-boyfriend's house and briefly fought with him, but was behind bars today, a sheriff's sergeant said.
Tony Jesus Najera, 47, armed himself with a BB gun and a knife and forced his way into the man's residence in the 400 block of West Main Street in San Jacinto shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday, the sergeant said.
''Najera allegedly made death threats and a brief altercation ensued between Najera and the ex-boyfriend,'' he said. ''Najera attempted to flee on foot, but was apprehended by the officers.''
The other man was unharmed, he said.
Najera was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, making criminal threats, residential burglary and vandalism. He was being held today in lieu of $25,000 bail, jail records showed.
