Fallbrook High School senior Jennifer Chavez, 17, will attend the U.S. Naval Academy in the fall.
FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Union High School senior Jennifer Chavez has received an appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy, and will begin her studies there in late June.
Chavez plans to study mathematics and to one day become a pilot. She will attend the Academy and is scheduled to graduate in 2016 with a degree in math and the rank of Officer.
The U.S. Naval Academy has an alumni list of more than 72,000 young men and women, including one U.S. President, 21 members of Congress, 52 astronauts, 73 Medal of Honor recipients and two Nobel Prize winners....
