2-Year-Old Found In Pool in East Hemet, Listed as Critical

EAST HEMET - A 2-year-old boy was found unconscious by his family in a backyard swimming pool in East Hemet, and was in critical condition today at Hemet Valley Medical Center, a county sheriff's spokesman said.

Deputies and paramedics responded to the call of a boy who had fallen into the pool at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday at a residence in the 42000 block of Bancroft Way, the spokesman said.

''Deputies and Cal Fire personnel arrived and initiated life-saving measures on the boy before he was taken to the hospital where he was listed in critical condition,'' he said.
