Firefighting technology, health initiatives highlight State of the County address

Firefighting technology and health initiatives were among the major near-term plans outlined by 2012 San Diego County Board of Supervisors chair Ron Roberts during his State of the County address Feb. 8 at the San Diego Hall of Champions.

“We have five supervisors and a great administrative team,” Roberts said.

Roberts followed his recognitions with remarks about the county’s capital improvement programs. “We are creating in this county a fleet of new, modern, efficient buildings that will serve the public for 30, 40, 50, and 70 years to come,” he said.
