Ruth Eleanor Lawrence Dunlap

Ruth Eleanor Lawrence Dunlap was 85. Along the journey, there were some potholes, a flat tire or two, but then again, overall, in review, it was a pretty damned good ride! The trip began in the Nebraska State Penitentiary in Lincoln. Dad Lawrence was the prison’s farm manager, a post he held through the Great Depression. As war boiled up, detours led the family through Leavenworth and on to the federal reformatory in Petersburg.
