Brandon Gallery to feature "Wandering Jake Western Art" exhibit

FALLBROOK – Brandon Gallery will feature a special exhibition of western art and western re-enactment images starting March 1 and running through April 30.

Photographers Jim and Jeanne Miley will be joined by Shannon Olsen in this two-month-long exhibition based on photographs created for Jim Miley’s “Wandering Jake” book. The photographs capture famous western moments in Arizona and southern California. Their subjects included the Code of the West cast at Vail Ranch in Temecula.

The Mileys and Olsen have scheduled a public reception at Brandon Gallery Sunday, March 4, from 1 to 4 p.m.

The Mileys blend digital enhancement with traditional photographic compositions to create unique views and perspectives of majestic western landscapes as well as the hidden beauty in everyday items. Shannon Olsen, the Mileys’ daughter, is also a published photographer.

Brandon Gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
