Reaching the ultimate goal, at any age!

Former longtime Fallbrook resident Jeanne Palmer has achieved a longtime goal in beautiful Kauai. Palmer relocated from Fallbrook to Kauai in November 2006 to live with her daughter.

Now 93-1/2 years young, Palmer has been no stranger to the many beautiful golf courses in and around Fallbrook.

After moving, Palmer found a great nine-hole golf course to play at in Kauai.

On Sunday, January 8, at the Kukuiolono Golf Course in Kalaheo (a regulation eight-hole golf course), Palmer happily got a hole-in-one, while playing golf with her daughter, Kathy Bates. She was on the ladies red tees, fifth hole, par 3 (with large bunker), 150 yards away, and hit the ball with her driver to make the goal.

“It was a big surprise!” said Palmer. “I was just hoping to hit it on the green!”

Another golfer on the scene, Tom Lafemina, saw it all and found her ball in the cup.

In speaking with Jeanne, she mentions all the time how much she misses Fallbrook and all her friends here. I am certain there are some golfers out there that would like to congratulate Jeanne on her rare accomplishment at the age of 93!

Palmer, who loves golfing, said “Well, that’s not bad for an old lady!”

I encouraged her to keep playing every day and continue to achieve great things.
