Sheriff's deputies were called when a man arrived at Fallbrook Hospital last night (Monday, March 12) with a bullet wound to the leg.
"The victim is a migrant worker who said he was walking the back trails around Rainbow near Hines Nursery when he felt a burning sensation in his upper thigh," explained Lt. Robert Haley, commander of the Fallbrook Sheriff's substation.
Deputy Zach Harris responded to the call from the hospital and was told the victim "did not realize he had been shot until he got home."
