Woman in Valley Center attempts to run down deputy, then gives chase

FALLBROOK - A woman driver in a white Mini Cooper tried to run down a deputy in Fallbrook tonight, then eluded deputies who chased her for about three to four blocks, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Deputies believe they know where the woman lives, said Lt. J.T. Faulkner of the San Diego Sheriff's Department.

The chase began in the area of Miller Road and Via Encantado at 8:56 p.m. after the woman tried to run a deputy down, Faulkner said.
