Garden Club to celebrate at next meeting

FALLBROOK - The Fallbrook Garden Club will meet Tuesday, March 27 at 12:30 p.m. at the Fallbrook Community Center, 341 Heald Lane. At the meeting, the club’s 81st anniversary will be celebrated with a cake and ice cream social.

Guest speaker will be Penny Alverson of Armstrong Garden Center, who will speak on “Warm Season Vegetable Gardening.” Alverson will also discuss growing vegetables from seed or starter plants, growing in the ground or planters, and learning how to deal with insects and fungus organically.
