FALLBROOK - On Sunday, Feb. 26, the Kiwanis Club of Fallbrook hosted its third annual fundraiser “A Night to Shine” at Vista Valley Country Club. Guests enjoyed delicious appetizers and a glass of champagne during the opening of the live streaming of the 84th Academy Awards.
Guests perused 54 silent auction items, bidding on golf packages, dining baskets, jewelry, and many more. Two dozen raffle items were given away along with prizes for most glamorous male and female, and winners of trivia questions.
Proceeds from the event will support the Boys and Girls Clubs of North County, Fallbrook Childhood Development Center, FHS Key Club Scholarships, Rady Children’s Hospital, and the Ronald McDonald House. Also, books will be purchased and donated to the Fallbrook Childhood Development Center and the Mike Choate Early Childhood Center.
The event was co-chaired by Laura and Mike Choate and Cathy and Brian Kerley. Morey Sherman served once again as an outstanding emcee for the evening.
Kiwanis is an international organization whose main focus is supporting children. Three years ago, Kiwanis International formed a partnership with the International Boys and Girls Club and since that time, Kiwanis Clubs throughout North County have taken on many projects at the Boys and Girls Club facilities. In addition to local and national support, Kiwanis has international projects to support the children of the world.
