FALLBROOK – In most of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints missions the missionaries can be identified by their white shirts and dark pants (or skirts) and nametags. However, this is not the way it is done in the Illinois Nauvoo Mission. Instead of riding bikes and going door to door, they dress in 1840 costumes, greet visitors at historic sites and visitor centers, perform on indoor and outdoor stages, give wagon and carriage tours, assist with historic re-enactments, and serve the community. Because of this, it takes a certain type of person to be selected for this mission....
