FALLBROOK – REaD, the new art exhibit at the Fallbrook Library, features fine art prints, several made especially for this show. The dual themes for the art works are the color red and, appropriately for the library, written text. A variety of methods were employed to make these pieces, including intaglio, monoprint, linocut and dry point.
Organized by Dixon Fish, the show features twelve artists including San Diego and North County Printmakers members Meganne Behle, Dixon Fish, Loretta Kramer, Catherine MacDonald, Rita Miller, Kathy Morgan and Julianne Ricksecker. The other artists are Cathi Pedretti Calhoun, Kathryn V. Crabbe, Chick Curtis, Adeola Davies-Aiyeloja and Francis Duesenberg-Hubert.
In conjunction with the exhibit, the library has available to patrons a variety of books associated with the color red.
The exhibit will run through April 27 and is open to the public during library hours. A reception for artists will be held on March 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and the public is welcome at no charge.
