Ruttan named Youth of the Year

At its annual awards dinner on March 9, the Boys & Girls Clubs of North County honored local youth and adults that have been viewed as standouts over the past year. A variety of prestigious awards were presented in areas of achievement, leadership, volunteerism, and fundraising support.

The 2012 winners of these awards are as follows:

• Youth of the Year – Lauren Ruttan

• Girls of the Year – Kaysie Derieux (Potter unit); Anna Escobosa (Ingold unit); Leslie Castro (Frazier unit); Lupita Hernandez (Live Oak unit); and Tatyana Melendez (Fallbrook Street unit)
