143 participate in Fallbrook Junior Satellite Tournament at Fallbrook Tennis Club

The 26th annual Fallbrook Winter Junior Satellite Tournament held at the Fallbrook Tennis Club attracted 143 players.

“It’s growing,” said tournament organizer Dorothy Roth.

The tournament includes a consolation bracket to ensure that every player has at least two matches.

“I feel that, at the satellite level at least, they need to have as much match experience as possible,” Roth said. “It gives the kids a good chance to get some experience.”

The tournament was scheduled for the weekends of Jan. 14-15 and Jan. 21-22, although the Jan. 21 rain forced a Jan. 24 match.
