Art association Spring Art Show opens March 30

FALLBROOK - The Fallbrook Art Association will open its annual spring show on March 30 at 10 a.m. at the Fallbrook Art Center, 103 Main Avenue. The show will run daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through April 14. The public is invited to attend. Admission is free.

The juror and judge for the show is Michael Steirnagle. His vivid and colorful paintings are admired and collected worldwide. Steirnagle’s studio is in the Gallery 262 in Escondido. One of Steirnagle’s paintings will be sold in a silent auction that will run during the course of the show. Patrons can vote for a Popular Choice award that will be announced at the end of the show.

Twelve local businesses have sponsored the show with awards and other contributions.

An Artists’ Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held March 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Art Center. That evening, Café Des Artistes (in the back of the center) will serve a special menu starting at 5:30 p.m. Wine will be sold and hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be available during the reception. The public is invited to attend this gala event.

This year’s show will have two categories - Professional and Non-Professional. There will be a first, second, third, and three Honorary Mention winners in each category. In addition, there will be twelve Sponsor Awards and a Popular Choice award presented.

A number of winners of this show will be selected to show their work at Fallbrook Library later this Spring.
