Fallbrook firefighters collect $9,000 in boot drive

Local members of the Fallbrook Firefighters Association were out on the streets Tuesday, April 3, collecting donations from the public to help the Burn Institute.

The annual Boot Drive in Fallbrook resulted in $9,000 in donations.

“The firefighters were at four intersections that day collecting donations,” said John Buchanan, public information officer for North County Fire.

The intersections were Interstate 15 and State Route 76, Olive Hill Road and State Route 76, Alturas and Ammunition Roads, and Main Ave. and Alvarado Street.
