FALLBROOK – One of the exciting activities that will be offered on the “Avenue of the Arts” at this year’s Avocado Festival, April 15, will be a free opportunity for people to help construct the sculpture of an avocado tree. Led by Hannah Cosner, the Fallbrook School of the Arts supports this project that will be made entirely of recycled items collected from and donated by art supporters and environmental enthusiasts of Fallbrook.
“This project teaches us and our children about the environment and the importance of recycling, and it’s going to be a whole lot of fun seeing it brought to life,” said Marlene Rantanen, of Fallbrook Arts, Inc., the sponsoring organization of the “Avenue of the Arts.”
The “Avenue of the Arts,” which will be located on Alvarado Street from Main to Vine, will feature art by over 30 artists with several of them demonstrating their techniques and talents. Demonstrations will include wood turning, painting, gourd art, collage, face painting, and caricature drawing.
