VFW continues to honor wounded warriors with dinners

FALLBROOK – On Friday evening, March 30, Fallbrook’s Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 1924 hosted another ongoing recognition dinner for a contingent of Marines and Navy Corpsmen from the Wounded Warrior-West Barracks at Camp Pendleton.

Two of the warriors from the barracks that attended were brothers, Gunnery Sergeants Thomas and David Marino. Their father, Thomas Sr. is an 88-year-old Marine veteran who fought in the first battle of World War II on Guadalcanal.
