INDIO - A pair of small earthquakes struck a section of northern Riverside County today, the U.S. Geological Survey reported.
The first temblor hit at 4:45 a.m. at a depth of about two-and-a-half miles with a magnitude of 3, its epicenter nine miles northeast of Indio, according to a computer-generated USGS report. The second was recorded about 30 seconds later, almost at the same spot, with a magnitude of 3.1, according to another computer-generated report....
