Aguigui competes in NCA National Cheer Competition

FALLBROOK – The largest national cheer competition in the country, the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) All-Star Nationals, took place in Dallas, Texas last month. Fallbrook High junior, and varsity cheerleader, Kalani Aguigui competed with her team, the California All Stars Elite, which won the national championship in the small senior, level five division. The team is based out of San Marcos and consists of 20 of the best female athletes in the nation.

The team upset the favored Texas and East Coast teams by taking first place. At this high level of competition, there is no room for mistakes. The girls won the coveted black leather NCA jackets as well as much earned title of 2012 National Champions.

Anyone interested in watching some high level cheerleading can see the team perform at 9 a.m. Pacific time on April 22 on the CBS Sports Network. They can also be seen on YouTube CA Lady Bullets NCA Dallas Day #1.

The team will compete next in the World’s Cheerleading Competition to be held later this month at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.
