Warriors beat Oakland section runner-up in Lions Tournament

Last year, Skyline High School’s baseball team was the Oakland Athletic League runner-up and posted a 14-6-1 overall record. This year the Titans’ non-league losses will include an April 4 Lions Tournament game against Fallbrook.

The Warriors’ 3-2 win over Skyline gave Fallbrook a 6-7 record entering league play.

“We’ve played some great games and played some games that are not great,” said Fallbrook coach Mark DiBenedetti.

The Warriors began their season with a 1-5 record before capturing five of their seven games prior to the start of Avocado East League competition.
