Woman Killed in Crash Near Winchester Identified

WINCHESTER - Authorities today identified a 58-year-old Hemet woman who was killed when her car slammed into the rear of a truck involved in roadside maintenance near Winchester.

Elvie Catuira was killed when her 2005 Mercedes-Benz E320 hit the rear of the flatbed truck around 2 p.m. Wednesday on Domenigoni Parkway, according to the Riverside County coroner's office.

Catuira was headed west on the four-lane road and apparently failed to see the Riverside Department of Transportation truck moving slowly in front of her, said California Highway Patrol Officer Darren Meyer.
