An Evening of Mariachi at Fallbrook Library on May 1

FALLBROOK - An Evening of Mariachi will be presented at the Fallbrook Library on Tuesday, May 1, starting at 5 p.m.

As part of a “5 de Mayo Celebration,” author, lecturer, and mariachi music expert Gil Sperry will give a free multimedia presentation on the traditions and variety of the musical genre. The talk will be held at 5 p.m. in the library’s community room.

Sperry is the author of “Mariachi for Gringos” and lectures regularly on the subject. Sperry’s presentation is expected to be both entertaining and informative.
