Rotary hears about women's plight in India

FALLBROOK – Fallbrook Village Rotary recently welcomed Linda Mandrayar and her son Cullen to speak on the topic of the lives of widows in India. Mandrayar and her husband produced a film called ‘The White Rainbow’ which reveals the plight of these women. Cullen Mandrayar attends high school in Chenna, India and is a member of the Rotary Youth Leadership Association (RYLA).

In an attempt to help the Indian widows, the Mandrayar family has helped them develop some basic skills making jewelry. The products they make are sold in India as well as other parts of the world. The revenue from the...
