Fallbrook High School’s girls track and field team opened its dual meet season March 7 at home against El Camino, which won the 2011 CIF Division I championship. The Wildcats returned many of their athletes from that championship team and took a 90-46 victory over the Warriors.
“It’s just amazing what they did to us,” said Fallbrook head coach Troy Hamlin.
The Wildcats took first place in 12 of the 16 events, although Fallbrook swept the three scoring positions in the pole vault and won both relay races.
“We did have some pretty good highlights,” Hamlin said.
