Man taken into custody after attempted murder in Moreno Valley

MORENO VALLEY - On April 24, officers from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to the 16000 block of Heather Glen Road in reference to a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a verbal argument had occurred in front of a residence on Heather Glen Road. Shortly after the argument, a black male adult wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt removed a handgun from his waistband and shot the firearm several times towards the victim.

The victim was struck two times in the leg and had been transported to RCRMC by family members prior to the paramedic's arrival.
