SAN DIEGO - The Pentagon today released the name of a 38-year-old Camp Pendleton-based Marine who lived in Murrieta, Ca and was killed in combat last week in Afghanistan.
Master Sgt. Scott E. Pruitt of Gautier, Miss., died in Helmand Province on Saturday, according to the Department of Defense.
Pruitt was a member of I Marine Expeditionary Force Headquarters Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
According to Pruitt's Facebook page, he was a resident of Murrieta, graduated from the American Military University in 2010 with a BA in Criminal Justice and was engaged to Trisha Anderson-Lane....
