Daughters of Norway to view I Remember Mama

RAINBOW – The video “I Remember Mama” will be shown at the meeting of Daughters of Norway – Hulda Garborg Lodge #49 on Saturday, May 12, at 11 a.m.

“I Remember Mama” is a story of the life of a Norwegian immigrant family in 1910 San Francisco. It was an award-winning movie made in 1948 and later turned into a popular radio show and TV sitcom starring Irene Dunne as Mama, a practical woman who runs the family and the household financial accounts, with Barbara Bel Geddes as Katrin. It was originally written by Kathryn Forbes about her life with her extended family.
