Tognoli costumes doll for annual doll show

FALLBROOK – Local doll artist Connie Tognoli has costumed a 12-inch French doll as Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz, to be raffled in a fundraiser for local charities at the Mini Doll Friends of Southern California’s 35th annual show and sale in San Diego on Saturday, May 5.

Tickets may be pre-purchased as well as at the show. The drawing will be held at 2:30 p.m. that day; winner need not be present. The club sponsors the yarn doll-making booth at Arts in the Park at Live Oak Park where Tognoli has made hundreds of yarn dolls over the years.

The doll show will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Al Bahr Shrine Center, 5440 Kearny Mesa Rd. A $6 donation, ($5 with this article), is requested; children under 12 are free with an adult. For more information, contact Tognoli at (760) 723-0790.
