'Art of the Portrait' winners announced by Brandon Gallery

FALLBROOK - Brandon Gallery announced the winners of its first open juried portrait competition.

“We allocated $600 for awards and Chick Curtis (of Redlands) received Best of Show for his portrait entitled ‘Cellphone Solitude,’” said Noreen Ring, chairperson of the event. More than 90 pieces were entered in the show by area artists.

Additional winners include Rita Pacheco, first place for “Drawing Buddies:” Rich Stergulz, second place for “In Her Own World;” and third place to Rita Pacheco for “Young Actors.”
