Softball win over Cougars gives Warriors more wins than in 2011

Last year Fallbrook High School's softball team finished the season with a 13-14 overall season record, including a 2-8 Avocado East League mark. The Warriors thus exceeded their 2011 win total with an April 25, 2012, win over Escondido which gave Fallbrook a 14-8 season record after that game along with a 2-2 league figure.

"The girls are playing fantastic," said co-coach Shannon Koran.

The Warriors took a 3-0 lead with two runs in the first inning and one in the second. The Cougars tied the game with a run in the third and two in the top of the fourth, but three Fallbrook runs in the bottom...
