County Treasurer to Hike, Lower Fees for Handling Documents

RIVERSIDE - The Board of Supervisors today authorized Riverside County Treasurer-Tax Collector Don Kent to implement new fees, as well as increase and lower existing ones, for document processing services.

The two new charges established under the revised fee schedule are for preparing a notice of tax sale and a declaration stating that the treasurer-tax collector has the ''power to sell'' a property with a tax lien. The first charge will be $1,021.12; the second will be $135.25.
