22-year-old Camp Pendleton-based Marine Sgt. Wade Wilson killed in combat in Afghanistan

SAN DIEGO (Wire Service) - The Pentagon today (May 14) released the name of a 22-year-old Camp Pendleton-based Marine killed in combat last week in Afghanistan.

Sgt. Wade D. Wilson of Normangee, Texas, died in Helmand Province on Friday, the Department of Defense reported.

Wilson was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
