Deputies Arrest Fugitive in San Jacinto During Gang Sweep

SAN JACINTO - A San Jacinto fugitive was behind bars today after deputies arrested him during a gang suppression sweep, a sheriff's department spokesman said.

When deputies spotted Menes Poppy Hyppolite, 40, at about 7:15 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Avenida Floribunda, he tried to escape into his residence, said sheriff's Sgt. Joey Nardone.
