Fallbrook Hospital among eight hospitals to receive "A" grade for safety

SAN DIEGO - Eight hospitals in San Diego County received ''A'' grades for hospital safety today from The Leapfrog Group, a nonprofit organization that measures medical center performance.

Top grades in the annual report were received by Fallbrook Hospital, Kaiser Permanente Hospital, Palomar Medical Center, Paradise Valley Hospital, Pomerado Hospital, Scripps Mercy Hospital, Sharp Coronado Hospital and UCSD Medical Center. Alvarado Hospital, Scripps Encinitas Hospital, Sharp Chula Vista Hospital and Sharp Memorial Hospital were each given a ''B.''
