Library to host speaker from Birch Aquarium

FALLBROOK – Dr. Nigella Hillgarth, executive director of the Birch Aquarium, will be the next speaker in the Friends of the Fallbrook Library Lecture Series on June 14 at 6 p.m. She will talk about current ocean research related to climate change.

Birch Aquarium at Scripps is the public exploration center of world-renowned Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. Dr. Hillgarth is a distinguished zoologist who came to the institution in 2002 from her position as executive director of Tracy Aviary, the nation’s largest bird park, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
