Garcia signs field hockey letter of intent with Davis

Jamie Garcia’s Fallbrook High School athletic career ended May 11 after she ran the 4x400 relay race in the Avocado East League track and field finals, but her scholastic sports career will continue this fall when college field hockey commences for 2012.

Garcia spent part of February 1 at the San Diego Hall of Champions signing her collegiate letter of intent to play field hockey for the University of California, Davis.

“That was really cool,” Garcia said. “It was fun to be with all the different athletes from all the different schools.”
