New summer art camps at Fallbrook School of the Arts

FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook School of the Arts is proud to offer a variety of new summer art camps for kids. There will be something for everyone who is creative, from hot glass to fashion design, painting and ceramics.

Starting off is an exciting Hot Glass Summer Camp with talented artist Daniele Fratarcangeli. It runs from June 25 to 29. The class, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., is a great opportunity for students to learn how to shape molten glass into paperweights, glasses and bowls.

Art Expressions, taught by Marilee Ragland, is full of paper mache, collage, watercolor and tempera paints and runs from July 23 to 26. It is for third to sixth graders from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and kindergarten through second graders from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Students can also explore their fashion sense in Fashion Design Workshop with Amy Berkowitz. They will learn fashion illustration techniques in all shapes and forms. This class is for all levels and happens on July 30, 31, and Aug. 1, starting at 10 a.m. and ending at 3 p.m.

One of the main classes that are happening this summer is the Earth, Kids & Fire Ceramics with Celeste Weber. It will teach ceramics from basic to techniques. Session one will include introduction to ceramics, clay puzzling turtle, glazing techniques and more. It is for ages 8+ and will be on July 9 to 19. Session two will be just as good. It will include introduction to ceramics, family plaque, tic-tac-toe game and more. It will run from July 30 to Aug. 6.
