Richard Edward Dence

Richard Edward Dence was born in Syracuse, N.Y. on the summer solstice June 21, 1947. His family moved to Fallbrook, Calif. when he was 8 years old and he resided here since. A local Vietnam Vet, artist, woodworker, stone mason, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He had been fighting esophageal cancer since January 2010. He lost his battle to cancer on Memorial Day, May 28, 2012.

In the past he would celebrate Memorial Day by sitting outside of Joe’s Hardware selling Buddy Poppies to help raise funds for local Vets. He is great man that loved his family and always supported thei...
