Students treated to beach trip

FALLBROOK – Elise Agnello’s class at Live Oak School ended their year long unit on ocean animals with a “Day at the Beach” on May 31 sponsored by Waves4hope.

Waves4hope, founded by 17 year old Luke Erlbeck of Bishop’s High School in La Jolla, is a charitable organization that raises money for field trips for special needs students. These trips provide essential experiential learning and socialization opportunities outside of the classroom.

Waves4hope sponsored field trips for both Pauline Williams’ class at Potter Junior High and the Live Oak class for an all expenses paid day at the beach. Waves4hope provided funds for transportation, lunch, equipment and most importantly, eager high school volunteers willing to give their time to handicapped students for an unforgettable “Day at the Beach.”

Waves4hope dedicates 100 percent of its donations to the enrichment of children with significant disabilities. It may be found at http://www.waves4hope.org.
